About

Marble Road is the voice and piano studio of Amelia Harlovic. Amelia was raised in the southwest suburbs of Chicagoland where her natural affinity for singing was evident from an early age. Like many young singers, she lent her voice to her hometown parish, singing in the children's choir and later leading as a cantor. Growing up, her schedule was abundant with Saturday morning piano lessons, early morning choir rehearsals and evening band practice. Amelia was featured as an emerging young artist for the original Circle Theatre in River Forest and appeared in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Grease and Pippin.

Today, Amelia holds a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Music in vocal performance from North Park University performing the roles of Madame Armfeldt in A Little Night Music, Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Toledo in The Falling and the Rising. Amelia has been a choir director and music teacher on the northside of Chicago since 2018. She lends her voice weekly as a professional church cantor and sings alto for the internationally recognized choral ensemble Music of the Baroque. She is also a curator in her own right, developing spaces and performances for musicians in the Chicago Music scene with the performance series Third Floor Branch. She is also the founder of the Mistle-Do's, a professional caroling ensemble. Amelia is an active songwriter, appearing in venues all over Chicago.

Amelia is committed to understanding the goals and needs of her students in order to create the most productive and fulfilling lesson possible through her own lived experience as a musician. She holds firm in the belief that "it's all about the journey!"
